Just getting into SR shaving, as this is only my 5th shave with a straight. Did 2.5 passes with the Dovo, WTG/XTG hybrid, ATG/XTG hybrid with some touch ups. Ended with a CCS+ / DFS-, no weepers or nicks, but quite a bit of irritation, a by product of a poor lather, too much pressure and incorrect blade angle. The alum block and witch hazel calmed down the irritation, so I should be good to go for tomorrow's shave. Overall, not displeased with the results, nor discouraged by them as I know the cause. Tomorrow is going to be the W&B wedge and some Castle Forbes Lime cream I know I can get a great, slick lather with.
Side note: I was expecting quite a bit out of the Drunken Goat from Mickey Lee's, and I fudged up the lather. Instead of fixing the lather, or just starting over again with a new batch, I took what I was given and paid for it with a lack of slickness and cushion, part of the reason for me using too much pressure and the resulting irritation. Of course, it's not the arrow, but the indian firing it. Lesson learned!

Well, I had my shave all lined up, and then I get home from work, and the Rockwell 6S shows up (thanks Marco!)... talk about restraint!! But seeing that I haven't really got time to play today, I'm going to stick with my planned shave....So anyway, the 7 O'Clock Sharp Edge rocked in the Hone, and although I didn't really enjoy the experience today due to feeling rushed, It was still a wonderful, BBS shave...
