I picked up a W&B on Ebay this week, mt first straight, it's in ok shape. I used AzMark's Dremel method, which cleaned it up nicely, but there's some mild pitting and staining left. I'd like to take care of it myself, but I'M not grabbing a bench grinder anytime soon, so I'll be hand-sanding. Does anybody know at what point grit-wise I can switch over to the Dremel method?
Since the person I bought the straight from is in Arizona, I'm using AzMark's method, and I'll be sending it off to Ray-Man for honing, I'm thinking of naming it the Arizona Butcher. Pictures to follow.
