Obsolete tools

Many B&B discussion seem to revolve around obsolete technology.

What items do you have in your toolbox that never see the light of day?

A few of my own:

Points grease
Uni-syn carb tool
Non-digital multimeter
Freewheel removers (older cyclists will get this)

Analog meters still have their places (mostly on a shelf out of the way, but sometimes they're handy!)

I keep a rotating stock in my tool boxes/bags depending what I'm working on.

How's about a...(whuzitcalled?) Tool for repairing relays...

I just bought a analog galvanometer at work, I trust it more when testing my explosive wiring... I love that part of my job.

Are timing lights used on current cars?

 I had to search high and low for my timing light after tuning up my boat recently. I know the timing is off because it's a little hard to start and has way too much top end. I found the timing light today and will set it to spec tomorrow -- 10 deg TDC, well maybe 13-15 degrees
And then there's the brass feeler gauge...

Slide rule.

And that bendy flexible head dwell angle adjusting tool for GM distributors. I'll probably never use it again because of my current and future vehicles being pointless.

floppy disks.

I HATE EM!

worst part is every now and then you still need them.
You get your hands on a reader and ... "#$"%/(# disk does not work

"What items do you have in your toolbox that never see the light of day?"

Is that directed to married men, or men in general?

:p
