More Gem Questions(Blades)

It's a great razor, I continue to get awesome shaves with it when I am not using my 1912. Definitely better shaves than any of the DEs I have tried.

As far as the CVS blades go, I can get a great shave, above the jaw line. Below, it's murder. But that might be some technique involved there too. :tongue_sm:tongue_sm

Anyway, I did notice some blade rusting, both in the razor and in the container, when stored in the bathroom.

A good strategy is as follows:

1) Have a small container of rubbing alcohol that you can dip the razor head in after the shave. This should flush the water out of the nooks and crannies.

2) Get the razor out of the bathroom where it can dry.

Alternatively, you can remove the blade and blot it and the razor dry before reassembling, but this results in a lot of blade handling and time.
