This is my version of a 'standard' Rub for Ribs...and I wouldn't 'stir' you in the wrong direction.

Ingredients:

2 tbsp fresh ground sea salt

2 tbsp freshly ground pepper (black, white, green and/or pink peppercorns)

2 tbsp granulated garlic

2 tbsp white sugar

2 tbsp brown sugar

½ tsp chili powder

1 tsp cayenne pepper

1 tsp ground cumin

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp mustard powder

1 tsp ground thyme

Method:

Mix all the ingredients together in a small bowl. You can 'rub it' on Beef (ribs), Pork (ribs), or Chicken.

NOTE: You can increase or decrease the amount of each ingredient in accordance to how much 'heat' you want and how many servings of ribs you'll be serving. :lol1:

PS Love your idea..."Always put Bourbon in pan, then cover. Bake 6 plus hours, finish on high heat with sause".

Even so, I’d crank the heat up a bit. If for no other reason, food safety issues.
I think/hope, he meant meat temp of 170*.

Cooking ribs at an oven temp of 170*, probably isn't safe for bacteria etc. The first post is very cryptic with some spelling errors that don't help.

Slow down @DesertIguana. It's hard to decipher some of your posts with the errors/auto-correct etc.

My idea is simply this....

Invite me!:001_smile

In all sincerity, 170°F cooking temperature is MUCH too low.
