Well Gents last night I had a first. While lathering up with Captian's choice shave cream I added too much water. I've never had this happen and I knew instantly when it happened. I've never seen a lather die so quick. It was there then it was completely gone and I could even feel the razor get "stuck" on my skin due to the lack of slickness. I shaved half of my face and knew that it would be best to just start over. This definitely put a damper on my shave. The Captains Choice creams have always created perfect lathers and due to my own doing it definitely put a damper on things.

As with anything though it is definitely a learning point and I hope it never happens again (although, im sure it will).

If you find your lather contains too much water, you can add a bit more to the bowl if you bowl lather or spread some on your face if you face lather (or even if you bowl lather). Also, whipping the lather more often helps.

Great thing about shaving. If today's is subpar in any way, you get to do it all over tomorrow.
