I bit the bullet and got a Simpson Chubby1 in Best

I came across Razor Emporium selling them for kind of cheap and found a coupon. Deal was too good to pass up I'd say.

2 questions:
I am coming from a Tatara Masamune Finest badger, will this be similar feel in my hand? I use a mug and Arko smashed inside.
The price surprised me, is Razor Emporium authorized reseller of Simpson? Is this some sort of factory 2nd? I emailed them asking after I bought it.

Unfortunately, I have not tried a Tatara and I do not know if Razor Emporium is an authorized Simpson reseller.

Congrats on the new acquisition. I have the SOC in finest badger and I'm gonna guess its the same knot since Semogue does the knots for both Tatara badger and boar brushes. I find the SOC finest badger on the floppy side. I recently ordered a Simpson KH3 and should be in tomorrow. I'll compare and post my comparison. The KH3 is 21mm and 46mm loft. The Chubby is 22mm and 46mm loft. If density is similar they should be fairly similar. The SOC is 24mm knot and 53mm loft if i remember correctly.
