I agree. The balance point reinforces the assumption that the scales cause the lighter overall mass.Wow you went to a lot of work to compare these two razors! I am surprised at the difference in weight. Perhaps the difference lies with the scales?
I agree with you on prefering a more acute bevel angle. Having a bevel angle like the 208 or the T.H.60 tends to give a more forgiving edge when shaving and still shaves very well.Nice summary @rbscebu. I've never used a Gold Dollar but can confirm that Titan makes a nice razor that looks more expensive than its price point. Mine shaves well, although I prefer a smaller bevel angle.
