Best wishes for a smooth surgery and a quick and relatively painless recovery.
I, too, would recommend staying with the brush and a good soap or cream. You might (re)consider face lathering (works great with creams and soaps).

I haven't shaved since Monday. I used to grow a beard in the winter until the gray hairs became too plentiful.
This is the second operation on my right shoulder and third overall. This time, though, I also had surgery on my wrist. I can't close my fingers and can't get the right hand wet until the stitches are taken out in 2 weeks.
I'm ambidextrous, but shaving is one thing I don't do well left handed, especially while under the influence of Percocet. (I can eat with chopsticks with either hand.)
I broke up with a girlfriend a month ago. She is too selfish to help me anyway, so I'm not missing anything.
