Shave of the Day (SOTD) Saturday October 6, 2012

Prep: Brush soaking in cold water, face wash with Noxzema Triple Clean, tepid shower
Razor: Cadet TTO-15
Blade: Vokshod Teflon Coated (3)
Brush: Semogue 1438 Boar
Soap: Tabac
AS: Aqua Velva Musk
Post: Cold Water Rinse, Double Splash Of Aftershave

This will be the last shave with the Vokshod. I could probably push it for another shave, maybe two but I felt the slightest amount of tugging ATG.

As it stands now the Semogue 1438 boar is my favorite brush for face lathering. I find the size and stiffness of the knot to be just right for using with soaps such as Tabac.

Speaking of Tabac, I cannot believe how long this soap last. For the first three months it appeared to be growing daily. Only recently have I been able to close the lid properly.

Three passes today along with some light buffing on my neck provided near perfect results.

Johan Engström sent by my girlfriend who lives in Eskilstuna, Sweden. When I was over there we actually wandered into the Rademacher forge where it was probably forged. We weren't sure if we were allowed to be in there since it seemed to be a working forge with hot coals and people at work so we left. I only later found out that is where a lot of Swedish razors were made. Propped up with an IKEA pencil I got from Västerås near eskilstuna. Williams stick holder that says "patd in USA NOV 19 1907" and "est 1840" on the bottom that I use to store palmolive, Vulfix vs5 and some alum I got in a market in Egypt.
