Hello friends

I took a few days off and came back today with a 5 day beard. Cloudy morning, great for a rose scent, so I went for it: MdC Rose and Penhaligon’s Hammam Bouquet. Among them, my good old Yardley Original Pure Badger, Greencult 2.0 plate IV, Gillette Silver Blue (4) and Thayers. A deep shave, yet easy and smooth.

Simpsons Eagle 3, re-knotted (shedder) with a Shavemac Finest. Great brush! Soap was the new non-rtallow MWF and it worked for me not much if any differently from the old. I think that like most of the current re-formulated soaps, the lather is a little thinner (less ‘unctuous’ as the French would say), and slicker. The razor was a user grade Filarmonica 14 Novodur, and the AS was Floris 89 balm.

Gamechanger worked great. Nice 2 pass shave. MDC is a pleasant scent and lathers wonderfully. The Eagle is the perfect size for me and the pure is a little floppy and not as dense so I'll probably prefer the G3 Eagle.
