Closed, Grooved, or Open combs?

The grooved one makes the least sense to me with what appears to be just a short cut into an open comb version. A scalloped safety bar would be more attractive to me personally.

I am considering a 2.0 gap head so, with so little blade exposure, I wonder what tangible shave differences I would notice between the three comb options.

And, should I wait for the Black Friday sale!

I got to try all safety bar versions on the passaround. They all worked for me, which was a bit surprising, as I don't usually get along with open combs. The grooved is their version of a scalloped edge. That is what I bought when I purchased my Maurice. It makes the most sense to me as the best of both other options.

Le Maurice is a great razor!
