This brush is being sold on ebay as a vintage shaving brush. Uh, yeah, that's a basting brush. I guess if you shave with melted butter, it could work.

They work pretty good when you shave with butter.
I think I could get a pretty fair lather out of that push come to shove.
I think the true miracle will be if someone actually buys it and starts to use it.

Looks more like a brush my mother kept near her sewing machine to keep the needle area clean. It removes debris and such. That's what it looks like to me. Could be a basting brush.

I just wonder how they settled on calling it a shaving brush. That would have never entered my mind upon seeing it for the first time.

You wouldn't need a brush stand, just hang it from the wall. I may even be art.
