On the road this weekend for a golf tournament, so it’s hotel shaves for me today and tomorrow. No pic this morning, but I’m using a RR Hawk v2 with guarded Kai blade. Jack Black Supreme Cream and homemade splash made from Osage Rub, witch hazel and Everclear 190.

Tonight another 3017 shave with Tabac and other than the scent I am really enjoying using it. It is slick and delivers great shaves, almost everything a good soap should be. This resulted in another excellent shave, but unfortunately the last for the GSB blade as it took an unscheduled trip to the bathroom floor when I was cleaning up.

Tonight for SV Saturday Opuntia stepped up with the Rocca set on duty and the fallen GSB was replaced with another Gillette, the 7 O'Clock Sharpedge, another blade which I only have one of. I lathered up and hacked away with the Rocca until I had a BBS. I do find however that the 7 O'Clock Sharpedge is not quite as smooth as the green 7 O'Clock Stainless Steel.

I used Cubebe for SV Saturday, and got a fine bowl-lather. Am I about to hit bottom in this tin? SV lasts even better than MWF, I think.

Got a good near-BBS.
