I am new to this forums, and looking for some advice on Thiers Issard La Legende Straight , I receive one today from Fenriham (the Egypt designed with ebony scales) paid about 185.99 (100 off) and is intended to be a gift for my boyfriend who is a professional barber, my question is :
These razors are good or I need to purchase another brand? I don't have opened the box yet because I wanted him to open the box, just asking because don't want to look like an ignorant girl in barber things. He don't have any Thiers Issard Straight razors.

They are a premium brand and are well thought of. Like most modern straight razors, there can sometimes be defects but Thiers-Issard make some excellent razors. You did well.
