This morning I decided upon the Slainte in nose warmer mode and BCA.
Savinelli Estella 915 EA.
This p.m., my pipe was the Peterson 440 straight billiard with Sir Walter Aromatic, a glass of iced sparkling mineral water on the side. A pleasant twenty minutes' smoke, and another fifteen after a couple of relights. The combo of this billiard and the aromatic codger blend is a winner.
This morning it's BCA in the OG Grabow Starfire while I listen to the rain and strategize my day.
I'm good at that on some days. Others not so much.

This morning I popped some Sherlock Holmes into a small pipe, the Peterson 80S bent bulldog. With a couple of relights, I wound up with close to twenty-five minutes -- amazing for a small bowl like that.

Late report: Sunday morning's session was with Peterson My Mixture 965 in one of my 1980s pipes, the Savinelli sandblasted Dry System billiard (the "Somerset Maugham" pipe). I'm not sure yet if I like this particular blend. The initial light provided almost a soapy note rather than a smoky one, though that vanished after a few minutes.
Now that I've practiced it for a while, I also find the Frank method of loading one's pipe to work quite well.

Finally turned over my pound of flesh to the IRS, now I'm lowering my blood pressure with a big bowl of Christmas Cheer in my Nate King, and the last of this bottle...
