So quick change of plans, since a watch I got on sale for the summer came in. Totally out of place with the snow blowing straight sideways right now. But I have summer vibes on my mind
Strap is a bit of a dust magnet.
This Illinois Watch Company 17 jewel pocket watch which was made in 1910. She is the more manageable 16 size watch with a nice Bates and Bacon Royal gold filled case.

Doesnt keep time as good as a cheap quartz. Neither does my Josephs 1871 model wrist watch but the quartz doesnt have the cool factor like a mechanical. I have a Seth Thomas mechanical mantle clock also. Wind it every Wednesday. Its an eight day clock.If you want to learn more about it go here:

A Rolex won't either. I no longer own any quartz watches. These mechanical watches are massed produced items, but there is heart and elegance in how they are made.
