It was the first time that I've tried the D. R. Harris Arlington shaving soap. The scent is marvellous, reminds me of orange blossoms. I love it! The soap produces an incredible quantity of lather, and a very good quality one - almost as good as the Valobra stick. A true winner!

There were hints of success in this second try with a Rolls. I don't think the blade is 100% ready, and it was too hard to keep the correct angle to risk anything more than one WTG pass. Most of the work was done by the Schick. Still, I think now that this probably can work.

This vintage Colgate is really good stuff.

Lovely photo! And the Harris Arlington is my absolute favourite English soap. Gorgeous scent and wonderful tallow lather. A winner in my book any day!
