I just received the razor I purchased from Lucky11453 (Gillette Flare Tip Super Speed B 1 1956, immaculate btw) that was my first razor. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on your point of view), my old man wasn't the "here, let me show you" kind of guy. All he did was drag me to the bathroom, pointed to the razor, told me to soap my face (regular bar of soap, not shaving) and said "shave" then left me alone with this sharp implement. How I got through it without slicing and dicing my face is a miracle.
I think I'm going to let the razor sit there as a monument to my youth and coming of age. Back when I knew everything.
