Shave #20

Pre Shave: LAB Series Multi-Action Face Wash (in shower)
Hot Towel
Razor: Rockwell 6S (R4 Plate)
Blade: Rockwell
Brush: RazoRock BC Silvertip Plissoft Synthetic
Soap: Cowboy Willy
Post Shave: Cold Water Rinse Alum Block and Thayers
After Shave: Bootlegger's Lime Bay Rum
Non Shave Areas: CeraVe Moisturizing Cream

The Plissoft whipped up another great lather. I really like this brush. It really feels great and does a good job on the Cowboy Willy. I'm looking forward to using it on some other soaps! 3 passes with the Rockwell and a nice BBS. No alum sting at all. Splashed on some Bootlegger's Lime Bay Rum to finish off.

The Bootlegger's Lime Bay Rum is very interesting. Nice Bay Rum scent to start with that mellows out into a really soda like lime scent. I do detect just a hint of musk in the background. Pretty good staying power. I could still smell it 3 hours later. I really put a good splash on too. As with all the Bootlegger's so far my face feels great.

We had a "thank you" lunch at work today. Huge ribeye steaks and baked potatoes. One of the lead techs grilled them and he did an excellent job. Nice sunny seasonal kinda day here today. Currently enjoying an Alec Bradley Maxx cigar at my Cigar Lounge. It was a good day!

I'll bet if you took the Cowboy Willy out for a steak dinner you could pawn it off on the bus boy and move on to another soap. You have any estimate of the usage rate? The puck looks pretty solid to me.

nice photo Craig! Looks like the Cowboy Willy is reeling from the assault!

Thanks Josh!

Chris there is a pretty good hole in it. The brush is just covering it up.

Nicely Done Craig, Like the photo as well

Thanks Dave!

Thankfully, Dave added quite a lot of other ingredients to the BBW making it approximately 50% Willie by volume according to Rich. We are both hoping it gets consumed at a faster rate as a result. Good for you keeping with the Cowboy Willie.

The end is near! I am excited for you !

Yes Tom, I'm ready to use something different. All those soaps and creams just calling me from my shave den.

Thanks Walt!

Shave #21

Pre Shave: Urth Face Wash and Urth Face Scrub (in shower)
Hot Towel
Razor: Gillette Slim Adjustable I2 (set on 6)
Blade: PolSilver
Brush: Simpson Commodore X3 in Best Badger
Soap: Cowboy Willy
Post Shave: Cold Water Rinse Alum Block and Thayers
After Shave: Bootlegger's Maduro Perfecto
Non Shave Areas: Every Man Jack Face Lotion and Post Shave

I haven't used the Slim in a while so I loaded a PolSilver blade into it and after what has become the normal lather routine, completed a nice 3 pass shave resulting in a BBS. Had no problem with the Commodore and the Cowboy Willy. No alum sting. Finished off with the Bootllegger's Maduro Perfecto.

Figured it was time for a lather porn picture too.

Bootlegger's Maduro Perfecto is the last one of my Bootlegger mixtures. I won't be doing the menthol ones, just because I'm not that big of a menthol fan. This starts off similar to the Virginia, some subdued Bay Rum, and slight citrus scent, then the leather, woody, and tobacco scent comes on. The tobacco is much more noticeable in the Maduro than in the Virginia. One thing I want to clarify is that this is a cigar tobacco scent not pipe tobacco. If you enjoy both you know what I mean. Nice face feel, as was expected. The scent longevity was about 2½ hours.
After having used the Bootlegger's Bay Rum, Lime Bay Rum, Maduro Perfecto, Virginia Perfecto, and El Dorado, I can say I will be keeping some of these mixtures on hand! If you haven't given these mixtures a trial, you really should!

Shave #22

Pre Shave: Every Man Jack Face Scrub (in shower)
Hot Towel
Razor: Gillette Slim Adjustable I2 (set on 6)
Blade: PolSilver
Brush: RazoRock Bruce Plissoft Synthetic
Soap: Cowboy Willy
Post Shave: Cold Water Rinse Alum Block and Thayers
After Shave: Bulldog Original After Shave Balm
Non Shave Areas: Bulldog Original Moisturiser
Cologne: Penhaligon's English Fern Eau de Toilette

Another great lather and shave with the Cowboy Willy. The Bruce whipped up a good lather and the Slim delivered once again. Nice BBS after 3 passes, but I did have a couple of areas on the neck I had to touch up. Just a little alum sting in those areas.
The puck ring broke into during this loading. The end should be near!

I put on a few Vasilis of the Penhaligon's English Fern. WOW this is some good stuff! Nice floral scents, backed by some nice woodsy aromas. I also get a little bit of cloves. It has been a little over 3 hours and I still get a hint of it.

I'm sitting in my Cigar Lounge enjoying a Canimao cigar and some Jameson's Black Label Irish Whiskey. Good way to unwind after doing taxes today. Good news is I'm getting a refund, now how does a C.E.C. operative use a little extra cash?

Great write-up and shaves Craig! I think a more pertinent question is what would a C.E.C. operative NOT due with a little extra disposable income?

Thanks Josh! Hmm not do? Well he wouldn't buy anything remotely shaving related!

Great couple of shaves Craig, and it looks like you're getting really close to the end of the Williams.

Thanks Eric! Yes I hope the end is near! Really jonesing for some variety!
