What's new

Greetings to the folks in the comfy chair

New to B&B and making my rounds to the non-shaving areas. There are more than a few. I hail from the PNW USA (formerly from Texas) and have been here about 20 years. A life long lover of scotch whisky (my high school girlfriend had a mother that drank scotch; the path was chosen). I have finally grown to embrace bourbon in the last 5 or 6 years. Portland is awash in local distilleries ( about 25+) and I have been a hobby distiller for about 12 years. Aberlour and Elijah Craig are a few home pours that I like. But labels change with the season.

Deep in the winter months, La Phroaig Quarter Cask replaces the Abelour.

Cheers

Here I am, 1st again.
My favorites?

I have tried only cheap Bourbon. That means Imperial. When I was in grade school, I was able to see all my neighbors' garbage. Mr. Williams usually threw away a couple bottles of Imperial . So I gave it a try. It doesn't make me sick. Recently I tried Heaven Hill. I didn't care for it.

I like Jim Beam the most, but it costs more.

My avatar right now? That is the symbol for my grade school, which is Nativity of Our Lord.
