About Me
I am a young professional in the financial industry. I work as a product manager for mobile apps for a big financial firm. I was born in Korea but came to the U.S. when I was 2. Pretty much grew up in the NJ/NY area except for my college years at Brandeis. Here is my Hall of Fame entry if you would like to see more information. In January 2015, I decided to try wet shaving. I look the plunge because cartridges and electrics were not giving me close shaves and I encountered a lot of skin irritation. I originally read about DE shaving in one of the forums on Ask Andy About Clothes forum and decided to dig more into it.
Interests and Hobbies
I love to play golf but never have enough time. I am an in-between bogey to double bogey player. My dad recently gifted me a set of Mizuno MP-5s. They finally match my Mizuno MP-10 wedges. In high school and college, I used to play a lot of billiards. Unfortunately, many of the local pool halls have closed down throughout the years. I blame the ban of smoking inside for this. I still have my entry level McDermott pool cue in my closet. I am a Doctor Who dork. Enough said. Along with participating in the B&B forums, I am an active member of two big clothing forums, Ask Andy About Clothes and Dappered. I view my style of dress as Trad with a bit of modern mixed in. Check out some of my posts on the What Are You Wearing threads.

- Lord L6 - This was my first DE razor. I used it from January to August. The only reason why it is no longer in my collection is that I left it at a hotel during a wedding in San Francisco. Very mild and a perfect razor IMHO for a beginner.
- Unknown TTO - I believe it is a Weishi but I am not sure. It is very mild and very easy to use. This will be PIF'ed to my youngest brother.

- Saponificio Varesino Manna di Sicilia
- Saponificio Varesino Tundra Artica
- Pannacrema Nuavia Verde
- VDH Deluxe Soap - Got it in the VDH set. I enjoyed the scent. Performed very well for a cheap soap. If I ever ran out of soap, I would happily go out to a local pharmacy and pick one up again without hesitation.
- Modern Williams Mug Soap - Saw it at A&P one time, and I bought it without hesitation. For a $1.xx soap, you couldn't complain about the performance. Lathered up with a little bit of elbow grease and provided great protection. It did remind of Ivory soap though.
- L'Occitane Cade Soap - This was my first "luxury" soap purchase since it was easy to find. My SWMBO loves L'Occitane. I loved the scent, but the lather was just OK. I felt like the VDH and AoS soaps provided a thicker, smoother lather. YMMV.
- Stirling Scots Pine Sheep - Made me fall in love with Stirling again. Lathers very easy and one of the slickest soaps. Best bang for the dollar for soaps.
- CO Bigelow (Proraso rebranded) - Loved the mintiness of the cream. 1st good cream that I used and seamless to use. A must try since it is easily available.
- Old Spice Original Cream - Average performance. Scent was nice, but lather and performance wasn't anything noteworthy.
- Razorock XXX - Liked the scent but PIF'ed to youngest brother
- Razorock Zi Peppino - Need to revisit since I have not used in months
- Valobra Crema di Sapone Purissima - Rich, easy to lather croap
- Proraso Green Soap - New in box since I ran out
- Razorock Mughetto di Bologna - Great soap and underrated especially for the price
- Razorock Mentolipto - Never tried, but very menthol-y
- Palmolive Shave Stick - Still in unopened box
- Sudsy Soapery Sandalwood & Myrh
- Sudsy Soapery White Sage & Lime
- Stirling Executive Man
- Stirling Margaritas in the Arctic
Aftershave
Retired Aftershaves
- Kiehl's Aftershave Balm - The scent wasn't anything special. And smelled almost medicated. Provided great moisture and protection especially after a rough shave. PIF thru pif vs passaround box but the box got lost....
- Adidas Pulse Aftershave - Bought this years ago. Very sporty scent and was not my cup of tea. Smelled very similar to their cologne. PIF thru pif vs passaround box but the box got lost....
- Nivea Cool Splash Aftershave Balm - It was okay but nothing special. The Kiehl's was a better balm.
