Why no handle?

Strops are sometimes built with a handle and sometimes they are not. When a strop does not have a handle, it might be difficult for a new straight razor shaver to hold the strop properly. This page will show a few grips on how to hold your strop.

The Grips

The strop that was used in this demonstration is a Kanayama 30,000. Each grip will show a picture from top and the side. The strop is not hooked.
