Haslinger Shaving Soap

Description:

Haslinger is company based in Austria that was founded in 1949. In addition to shaving soap, the company makes a range of bath/shower products.

The shaving soap has undergone a couple of reformulations in recent years. For much of its history Haslinger was a tallow-based soap, but the company switched to a non-tallow version in 2017 and reportedly updated its formula again around ~2018-2019. The 60 g shaving soap puck is sold individually packaged in plastic wrap, or alternatively in small containers made of either plastic or aluminium.

Haslinger shaving soap comes the following varieties:


Haslinger soaps tend to be regarded as relatively lightly scented on the whole. It is worth noting in this context that, in most cases, the 'feature ingredient' appears to be marketed by the company primarily in terms of added skin-care properties, rather than the scents they might impart.
