Proraso is an Italian company founded in the 1930s.

Proraso products feature a six-digit manufacturing code. According to J. Roger's research, these can be translated into a date:

• the first three digits indicate the day of production (001-365)
• the fourth number indicates the year (9 for 2009, 0 for 2010, etc)
• the last two refers to the batch number
