I’m intrigued by this pen, but would you mind explaining this comparison, since pure badger is entry level grade, on the lower end of the quality scale....

I was referring to the quality of the experience not the quality of the pen .
Some shavers enjoy "feedback" from their brush ; some writers enjoy feedback from their pen's nib .
