You've Heard of Deckelman Bros. Brushes... Right?

Keep us updated on the restore. That is a great handle!

So I drilled the knot out because I just couldn't wait to dig in.

The handle had a wood core, so I drilled a small hole in the center of it all the way down & added lead shot to the bottom, then a layer of epoxy then more lead shot in the neck to get a nice weight distribution & balance (geek alert).

I then capped it off & leveled it at 14mm deep so that the ratio of the knot will be 28/54 or so, but I will play with it until it's perfect.

Thinking right after Christmas. I have a number of other disorders that compete for my pocket money budget. (Guns, knives, rock climing, the list is long)

Huge!

I hadn't heard the tip about sanding the tips of cut boar to soften them...

Yeah, weird. I was thinking that when I cut the tips down with the clippers they were too blunt and sharp. So, I got a sanding mesh screen (used for drywall finishing) that had been sitting in my toolbox and just sanded the tips. Softened them right up.
