Your Top 5 Favorite Colognes!

Out of the ones that I have that good be approriate for men (I love unisex types of smell)

Lush dirty
Lush breath of god (the stick version)
Atelier cologne orange sanguine
Shi by Alfred Sung

If I want to go for a very girly sent, than my vote has to go to Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet

Its really hard to pick a top 5 but here goes:

1. Chanel Allure Home Sport
2. Amen (all varieties especially Pure Malt) by Thierry Mulgar
3. Dior Homme Intense
4. L'ea Dissey Pour Homme (Issey Miyake)
5. Yves Saint Laurent La Nuit De L'homme

In no particular order:

Guerlain Homme L'Eau Boisee
Guerlain Vetiver
Guerlain L'Instant de Guerlain
Creed Aventus
Creed Imperial

Creed Windsor
Domenico Caraceni 1913
Andy Tauer L'Air du Desert Marocain
Creed Aventus
Xerjoff Oroville

Montale Patchouli Leaves is right up there with the other five.

This will change;

Tom Ford Tuscan Leather
Creed Aventus
Guerlain Vetiver
Guerlain Heritage
Animale Animale-my wife and everyone that smells this on me, loves it, go figure

The more I wear Cella Classica, the more I associate the scent with what a 1920s Italian business man might wear.
It is definitely old school, and Italian (or south eastern European in general). It probably would not have fitted in the London and Paris of that time.

Dunhill Blend 30 was the first cologne that I truly loved. I wish they still made it. Talk about old-school power frags!

L'Instant de Guerlain Extreme
Dior Homme Intense
Frederic Malle Musc Ravageur
Thierry Mugler Pure Malt
Creed Aventus

Hi All, first post:

Guerlain Vetiver
Guerlain L'Instant Pour Homme Extreme
Tom Ford Grey Vetiver
Lalique Encre Noir
Dior Homme Intense

I love my entire collection, but if I have to make a top 5:

- Frapin L'Humaniste
- L'Occitane En Provence Eau des Baux
- Couvent des Minimes Cologne of the Missions (or Eau des Missions)
- Fragrances of Ireland Inis
- Jo Malone Blue Agava & Cacao

Honorable mention (because this is a shaving community): Penhaligon's Endymion

These response is based on types rather than colognes. In other words, they can replace each other.

- Old barbershop kind of (from + to -): Mennen's Skin Bracer, Pinaud (classic), Canoe, Brut, Wild Country

- Spiced old barbershop kind (from + to -): Tabac (well, more floral), Old Spice, Zizanie

- EdC's styled EdT's (ditto): Monsieur de Givenchy, Eau Sauvage

- EdC's: R&G Farina's EdC, Alvarez Gómez

- Vetiver: Guerlain, Carven, Roger and Gallet

As time went by I came to dislike "girly" (very sweet, gourmandy) men's scents like Dior Homme or Le Mâle.

My fave 5 are

1. L'Air de Desert du Marocain
2. Montale Black Aoud
3. Tom Ford Tuscan Leather
4. Creed Aventus
5. Creed Green Irish Tweed

Dyptique Philosykos
Amouage Lyric Man
Chanel Coromandel
Chanel Allure Homme
Creed Original Vetiver

...and sampling like a madman. I haven't made a trip to Scent Bar yet, I'm a little scurred of what might happen to the old Amex card...

I would place Penhaligon's Endymion first as well!
Also:
2. Truefitt and Hill 1805.
3. Acca Kappa 1869.
4. Acca Kappa White Musk (Muschio bianco).
5. Santa Maria Novella al Sandalo.

Too hard to choose between what I have in stock. Here are 5 that stand out, though:

  1. Penhaligon's Endymion
  2. C&E Sandalwood
  3. John Varvatos
  4. Taylor's Mr Taylors and St. James (tie)
  5. L'Occitane Vetyver

1) Givenchy "Pour Homme"
2) Givenchy "Pi"
3) L'Occitane "Pour Homme"
4) Fine Accoutrements "Fresh Vetiver" (AS / Cologne)
5) TOBS "Sandal Wood"

1. Creed Aventus
2. Creed Millesime Imperial
3. Creed Royal Oud
4. Creed Green Irish Tweed
5. Issey Pour Homme by Issey Miyake

Honorable Mention:
Penhaligon's Opus 1870
