Thought this might be a good time for an update.

1. Polsilver/Wizamet - I honestly don't think this will ever be dislodged by another blade for me, although on a good day and with the right pairing of razor and blade, a KAI comes very, very close
2. KAI
3. Nacet
4. GSB

I don't have a 5th specific blade for my top 5. I have another 10 or so blades I like but not at the level of the above 4.

I posted this in 2016. My opinions remain unchanged, updates in italics.

I do not rank blades anymore, I just have a list of what I will and will not shave with. I will shave with VDH blades. I find they take 3 passes to get the same shave I can get with other blades in only 2 but the end result is a very good shave. My lists:

Will buy and use

• Astra (forgot about these. Good blades, used mine up. Too many VS to buy more)
• Feather
• Gillette 7 O'clock (green, black and yellow)
• Vikings Sword (Israeli)
• Wilkinson Sword (German)
• VDH (German)

Will not buy but will use:

• Rockwell

Will not buy or use

• Merkur
• Shark
• Dorco (made in Hell if you ask me)
• Derby (made in Heck, just outside of Hell IMO)
• Treet

On the occasion I use a DE razor, my blade preferences are:
Nacet
Bic chrome
Polsilver
Feather

The above are in no particular order.
I also don't mind Dorco 300s, but then again, the only blades I have tried that I didn't like we're Big Ben and a tuck of Jewel blades I had purchased in 2001 that I found in the back of a drawer. I since remembered why there was only one blade missing.

3: Dorco Primes
4: ASCO
5: Astra SP.

Honorable mention goes to: Crown half blades for my RR Eco and shavette.

Just updated my blade review from 2018, I enjoy the DE blades that are Sharp & smooth and are crossing into the Sharpest Zone the most. Bought a few more tucks over the last couple years.
Top 5 DE for myself> are Gillette silver blue, Gillette 7oClock black SP, Personna Red, Kai SS, Gillette Astra SP
