Blades that I continue to buy in bulk are Astra SP, Perma-Sharp, Bic CP, Nacet, Feather.

I do not yet have a top five but as things are now my order is:

1) King C Gillette
2) Dorco ST300 HQ
3) Tiger Platinum

I have a Dorco Titan in stock but still unused. Numbers 2 and 3 are somewhat interchangeable for me. I give the Dorco a point extra for longevity.

But tried one with my British Aristocrat, proved to be a great combo.

The Astra SP was my first favorite blade, but fell out of favor once I discovered much sharper blades. However, I have been shaving with much more aggressive razors these days, and sometimes a sharp blade is just too much. Especially after a rough shave or two. I have recently been trying some mid-sharpness blades in ultra efficient razors, and the Astra SP has filled that spot very nicely. It does surprisingly well in the Tradere OC. So the Astra SP is back on my list, but for a wholly different purpose now.

The vintage British London Bridge is a phenomenal blade in every respect. Sharp, smooth and they last a ridiculously long time. I’ve been binning them at around 20 shaves out of sheer boredom with not switching it up. That, and I use a 20 sided die to track them when I have the desire to do so. I don’t know if these are the same as Light Brigades or not. They are just terrific blades in every respect.

I'm still figuring blades out after about 15 months of DE shaving using mild-medium razors. I've had great results with various Russian-made Gillette blades (GSB, Greens, Perma-Sharps, KCG), but for "favorite" I'm leaving them out for now.

1. Personna Med Prep - work well for 4-5 shaves and made in Verona, VA near where I used to live. Ordered in bulk.
2. Kai - pricey, but I am on shave 7 and it still runs quite well. Ordered in bulk
3. Personna Lab Blue - likely my next bulk order
4. Wilkinson Sword Classic (German) - available in local pharmacies
5. Feather - wish they lasted longer, but 2 great shaves

I don’t like the BICs at all. Can’t get a good shave with them. But everyone is different.
