Your Top 3 Most Complimented Colognes

Top Three?! That's impossible...

D&G The One & The One Gentlemen (has been discontinued, but awesome if you can find it)
Three from Burberry alone... Burberry Brit, Touch, & London (my winter cologne)
F Black by Salvatore Ferragamo
Gucci Guilty
Montblanc Legend
Channel Allure
Prada Luna Rossa

I could go on... My wife loves to gift me cologne, and she has great taste.

I have been collecting for years and my most complimented frags are:

Green Irish Tweed
Guerlain Tonka Imperiale
YSL La Nuit De L'homme

Tabac Auerea Sonoma Scent Studios

MdM Guerlain

Acqua de Cuba SMN

the MdM one surprises me given its a little bit of a stinker.

As above--a few years back:

Green Irish Tweed
Penhaligon's Sartorial

But recently:

1) Creed Vetiver Geranium--nothing to do with me(!) but this drew two separate comments on a train commute home...
2) Tom Ford Neroli Portofino
3) Creed Pure White Cologne / Original Cologne

Of course, the way a cologne smells on a man is defined by his individual chemical makeup and so it is important to test out different scents. For my own part, I have had great success with Aqua di Gio, Burberry London and (shock and awe!) an Avon cologne I got for Christmas from my dear Grandmother: Derek Jeter's Driven.

Really ? You get a lot of compliments on the Jeter? I'm going to have to check it out. What does it smell like? Does it have a lot of longevity? Thanks

1) Davidoff Hot Water
2) Burberry London
3) (strangely) If I combine Perry Ellis 360 degree Black with a bit of 360 degree Red, but not if I use either alone.

1. Puig's Qurom (mostly women compliment on this one)
2. Beene's Grey Flannel (all people)
3. Azzaro pour homme (mostly men compliment this one)

This is despite the fact I frequently wear more crowd-pleasing scents or at least scents that are perceived as less brash.

Top 3!?

That's unpossible!! :001_smile

Lately it has been some genuine oud perfumes that have been turning heads:

Agar Attar (oud)
Thai Tabac (oud)
*Ambra - Worn for the first time this morning, been asked 3 times what it is I'm wearing (slightly confused/incredulous, not to be confused with sour, looks on their faces)

For conventional offerings:

Lalique Encre Noir (Wife's fav!)
Gucci Envy (still have the bulk of a full bottle!)
Jill Sander for Men (half a bottle left!)
YSL M7 (Original and Absolu)
Fahrenheit (Original and Absolute)
