What's new

Your fragrance lineup for the upcoming holiday season

For the holidays I add Czech & Speake Frankincense & Myrrh.

My normal winter rotation (December thru March in NYC):
Creed Royal English Leather
Creed Bois du Portugal
Creed Orange Spice
Trumper Sandalwood
Trumper Spanish Leather
Floris Santal
Maitre de Parfumier Sandalwood
Tom Ford Tuscan Leather
Tom Ford Leather Hombre

And an occasional Knize 10 which I wear outdoors due to it's strength.

It might just be me but I'm too old for a strong patchouli frag. I associate it so strongly with being 16 years old. I have a splash (made by I forget whom) called Glastonbury. Earthy strong patchouli. I put it on and suddenly it's 1971 and I'm transported to a muddy field in England where Fairport Convention have just finished their set and the crew are setting up the stage for Jethro Tull.
To this day incense takes me back to those days. The smell of a head shop. Will the newer generations ever know that smell? Black lights, water beds....

The smell, maybe, but the whole vibe? That’s lost to time. Maybe it lives on in a novel or two.

I like to stick to the barbershop fragrances rather then the myriad of designer fragrances:

GFT Spanish Leather
GFT Sandalwood
GFT Eucris
GFT Bay Rum
DR Harris Marlborough
DR Harris Sandalwood
DR Harris Bay Rum
TOBS Sandalwood.
