I'm over 60 and my first was my Merkur 34C HD. Got it December 5, 2019.
Hey I’ve got a Slim Twist in my collection. It’s a 1968 model and a really nice shaver. I use it occasionally when I want a break from my Techs. If you are over 60, it is a fair guess that your first razor was a double-edged job. If so, can you remember what it was and if and how you converted to a twin-blade cartridge offering? Mine was a Gillette Slim Twist with a white or ivory handle. I never quarreled with it, but never really developed any great affection for it either. I must have had it for quite some time, before a girlfriend replaced it with the inevitable piece of modern trash.
That sounds like 10 out of 10.I started with a 1967 Gillette Slim Adjustable that I still use to this day. I never converted to cartridge shaving, I’ve wet shave since the being. I’ve been a wet shave for 43 years in March. I started when I was 12 with Shulton Old Spice.
Well done.My first shave was with a Slim (J-4) that my Dad gave to me. I still use it regularly.
