Yet another recommendation needed

I know, I know, another recommend me an AS thread :bored:. But I am way behind in aftershaves compared to all my other shaving gear. Please let me know your opinion on what I should get next based on what I currently have and what some of my favorite scents are.

My favorite shaving scents are:
TOBS Mr Taylor SC
Edwin Jagger Aloe Vera ASB
Speick ASB

My current aftershave products are:
Speick ASB
Mennen Skin Bracer Cooling Blue Splash
Nivea Replenishing Balm
Proraso Pre/Post
Barbasol Pacific Rush Balm
EJ Aloe Vera ASB

Here's what I am considering, money is a little tight so I'm looking to keep it under $30 for sure, under $20 if possible:
TOBS Mr Taylor AS Splash
Proraso Splash
Proraso Balm
Musgo Real Balsam
Musgo Real Splash
Alt Innsbruck Splash

Thanks for any recommendations, either from my list or not, as long as it's not super high end stuff.

I've used the Musgo Real and Alt Innsbruck splashes, and love them both. I'm also liking splashes from Speick and Irisch Moos. I don't see Aqua Velva on your list...that's one of my favorites.

I like Boosters Polar Ice and Ogallala Bay Sandalwood. I am waiting the arrival of Boosters Bay rum and Boosters Lime. I like to mix the Polar Ice with Witch Hazel.

If you are on a budget, I would peruse all of the "drugstore classics" first, as there is some truly wonderful products available for very little coin:

Skin Bracer
Aqua Velva
Brut
Barbasol Pacific Rush
Avon Wild Country
Canoe
British Sterling
English Leather
Stetson
Clubman
Master Bay Rum (at Sally Beauty)

Being the Christmas season, all, there are some great deals to be had:

Walmart has 8oz of Stetson Aftershave for $9, and Big Lots has a huge bottle of Canoe Aftershave for $10.

Of the ones that you listed as being under consideration, I only have direct experience with TOBS Mr. Taylor and the Musgo Real Balsam. I (and SWMBO) love the scent of Mr. Taylors, but it doesn't really have any moisturizing properties (the opposite, really, it seems to be alcohol, scent and little else) so it has pretty much been shelved until Spring. The Musgo balsam has a pleasant scent and is probably the most moisturizing balm that I have ever used so it will get most of the work for me over the Winter.

Alt Innsbruck all the way! I can't believe it took me this long to try it. My wife even said she likes the scent!! That never happens...never!

Like others here, I found that Mugo Real splash left my skin tacky. I read a comment here that the tackiness happens only when too much is applied. I'd already traded my bottle, so I couldn't test the "use sparingly" recommendation.

Alt Insbruck is a favorite, but the scent lingers -- a good thing, to me. Irisch Moos is also a great scent, IMO, and can be had under $30. But if you're in a cold-weather location like me, you might want to stick with a balm in the winter.

If you don't have the Musgo splash, get than one first (it's better than their balsalm). And if you like the Speick balm, by all means get the splash.

I find that I use much less product per use with a balm than a splash, so I try to keep roughly twice as many splashes on hand.

These are my Pinaud thoughts;
I happen to love :001_wub: how Clubman smells...so crisp and fresh...and not to strong because I don't like giving off the scent of many 'high-end' Colognes that might cause others to comment that "You smell like a Lady-of-the-night".

It has such a bold masculine and 'timeless' fragrance that instantly cools, tones & refreshes my face and body and is a exhilarating freshener after my morning shaving ritual and shower. A little goes a long, long way with hints of leather and spice that 'lingers' through most of the day...plus the Mrs. loves it :biggrin1:

Also, this scent always takes me back when I was a little young 'whipper-snapper' (back in the days of 'ol'e time' Barber Shops w/ leather strops attached to the Barber Chairs and the faint aroma of Cigars),...after getting a fresh haircut ('high & tight'), and getting a 'splash' of Clubman and a scalp massage. Simply Bliss

Now that I'm a 'Big Boy' & all 'grown-up'....my scent of choice is Clubman Special Reserve...one of the true 'Arts of Manliness' :thumbup1:
