Did one just like it and got a 24mm knot in it. Great handle wish I had another. Have fun.

That looks great! Did you have to boat the ferrule larger? Looking at mine, I was guessing a 22mm.
Yeh, I opened it up to about 25.5mm and put a TGN Finest 24mm in it. It didn't start out that size but had problems with trying to paint the hole then using 5 min epoxy, ended up with a ball of paint covered epoxy that I had to clean out.

Great find,and I agree,a nice silvertip would be perfect for this...The handle can be polished up to look like new.
