So I just started DE shaving about 3 weeks ago and love it. I'm saving money, taking my time, feeling the lather and the razor, etc. I'm getting ready to go on leave to visit family for the holidays and bought a vintage DE travel kit for the trip. The kit is in overall very good condition. The vinyl piping around the sides of the case are cracking at the corners but everything else is clean and in good working order. I don't believe it was ever really used but I completely disinfected everything just to be safe. The nail clippers and comb I placed in there since they were missing. There is still something else missing though...The razor has never been used. It still had the original piece of paper, that had the Gillette info on it, where the razor goes. The razor itself says "Made in England" and has an "A4" on it. There was a box of one gillette razor blade where the Wilkenson blade now sits.
Does anyone have any info on this kit? Around what year it was made? What the missing piece might be?
Also one last question. How do I store the razor while a blade is in it??
