Yeah That is a Piece of Wood

It is a piece of African Rose wood and I decided to turn it around and use the end grain.
I have found a Bird in it and some sand dunes , I love wood ,you sometimes find the coolest things in the grain.
The knot is just sitting in it for the picture .

The wood grain is absolutely stunning. Is the bottom half also the end grain, or did you use the normal orientation for it? I really like the contrast between the top and bottom halves of the brush.

I should have given the Walnut some credit ,That is what makes up the bottom .
