Yardley hand soap at Dollar Store

V

VR6ofpain

Has anyone else spent $1 to pick up this lavender soap? It is tallow based and smells great. Works great...for a hand soap. The scent does not seem to be disappointing after a couple days, so I am impressed. It actually gave the bathroom a slight lavender soap.

Sorry for the mobile phone pics.

That's my bath soap, there.

I used to use Dove, but I got tired of spending the majority of my shower rinsing off all of the moisturizing "residue". I picked up a bar of this stuff at Drug Emporium and immediately loved it as a bath soap (I've got the talcum powder, as well...had to order that). I admit that the initial motivation for trying it was that it was "old"; I've always had an "old soul." :001_cool:

I may get slammed for this, but I think Yardley's other lavender scented products smell better than their actual lavender EdT.

We've been using the Oatmeal and Almond for the better part of a year. $1/bar at The Dollar Store.

Walgreen's used to carry the Yardley Lemon Verbena ($1.49/bar), but I haven't seen it there in a while.

I also buy the Palmolive "3 bars for $1" pack for my sons to use - nice scent and they last a while. I'll use this if we run out of the Yardley.

I was intrigued by the price and got a few bars based on it's inclusion of tallow as an ingredient. However, I probably won't buy it again. It was ok as a soap, but I've come to the conclusion that triple milling is more important to me than a product simply containing tallow. It was used up in no time, but in all fairness my usual soap is Claus Porto so it had big shoes to fill.

I like it. The lavender scent is light which is a plus for me. At $1 a bar it is more expensive than ivory, which is what I usually use.

Based on the reviews from this site (& thread) I picked up the Lavender & Aloe with Cucumber. Damn, thats a great soap! I love the clean scent of the cucumber & Lavender is always one of my favorites. Thanks for the heads up, Gents!

Just an FYI that my local Big Lots has these for 70cents a bar - between them and dollar tree, most scents are availible.

Good stuff

Big Lots seems to have an unending supply of Yardley of London, Moisturizing Soap Sweet Summer Aloe & Cucumber for just .70 cents a bar. Great shower/bath soap and it shaves pretty good too!

I started picking it up and putting in my stock area till my Irish Spring is gone. I have heard a lot of good things and I got some Yardley Summer soap with cucumber and aloe at Big Lots for 70 cents a bar. It is going to be my new bath soap. My daughter is already using and it her skin is nice and smooth with a healthy glow. When I get a hug you can smell the lavender.

This has also been my bath/shower soap for the last couple of years. I love the smell of Yardley's English Lavender brand products. Oh for the days when you could get their shaving soap.
