The finish looks fine, top and bottom I didn't see any bad spots where rot can creep in. Shaved with it this morning, used a Weber Bulldog handle, Gillette Platinum Plus blade. There's a lot of exposed blade on this thing, it scared me when I first loaded it. But I used a fairly steep angle and got a very comfortable BBS shave. Lots of sound with this, much like a Futur. Still feeling BBS 2 hours after the shave and that's just a regular daily shave.
