Yaqi Sentinel

I have seen on Aliexpress the Yaqi version of the Wolfman WR2 or the Perssona BBS-0, does anyone know how it shaves?

I would buy but a little scared for 1.5mm gap, even liking somewhat aggressive razors I prefer wait and see if they release a narrower gap.

Cool and slimy
I think a better question would be if anyone having a Wolfman WR2 with a 1.5 gap could describe how it shaves.

I am afraid we do not have many members that own a WR2 Wolfman here either. And often its more pics posted than text. I hope someone reads the thread and chimes in.

I don't trust that a 1.50 mm knock off = Original WR2 1.55
The tolerances, attention to detail, manufacturers obsession for
quality, finish etc are all up for discussion.

The WR2 geometry allows for pretty large gaps that sound scary but
actually quite friendly and smooth.

If you use the original 1.55 the shaves are excellent but you may need
to wait 2-3 days before shaving again. Daily ritual shavers stay away.

I cannot say that the knock off will display the same characteristics
as the real Mccoy.

Surely it won't. I don't have a Wolfman, and I don't particularly want one, but this won't have nearly the same quality as an original Wolfman head, and Yaqi makes decent stuff. But that's just a general statement about Yaqi and clones, not because I've used these particular heads myself.

I do find it amusing that although they have ‘cloned‘ it, they don’t know how it works.

Here’s a picture from their website …

It now belongs in the 'Upside Down Baseplate Appreciation Thread'

Probably was the Junior guy who makes the advertising pictures.

The internet guy upload it.

And the copy metal machine operator made the razor head.

Three Chinese guys, they just work, don't talk to each other.

I caved and bought one before they were sold out. When it arrives sometime in Sept I will offer my impression of the razor.
Don't know what is the issue.

There were more than 90 available, at least was shown at AliExpress, then suddenly all sold out. Go figure.

I survived a lathey foreman
According to the site that does not have any in stock at the moment it declares the 1.5 mm gap has .05mm or 2/1000 (.002) of a inch blade exposure.) So that brings it into the mid range aggression if information is accurate on MFG specs?? Also I noticed the safety bar is not scalloped to allow lather to reach blade edge better for those folks who like steep angle (riding the bar) shavers out there where the Wolfman does have this standard in their product. Price wise it could be appealing for some of us!
