XTG/ATG Hybrid Pass

I found myself doing that when I don't feel like going fully ATG - I do a pass that is something in between of XTG and ATG, when my hair is somewhat diagonal to the razor.
Also I sometimes use this pass on my neck before going fully ATG.

Gents, what do you think of this technique and do you have any similar shaving experiences?

This is a great technique to reduce your stubble while avoiding irritation. I use this previously all the time when shaving - specifically my neck.

I use two variations: Gillette Slide strokes and Gillette Slanted strokes.

I also use it WTG or WXTG to be exact. Have you tried that too?

For me hair on neck grows diagonal
So N to S (WTG) is not really WTG
Same is other way S to N
And that is how I shave

I naturally go WXTG if I shave with a second XTG pass in the other direction, it's more gentle on my skin but doesn't give me a shave as close as AXTG

This is what i do most days. My XTG passes are sort of angled up.

Great idea!

Basically, you mapped your beard. Then, you figured out the most efficient way to accomplish the task (with ‘efficiency’ defined as requiring the fewest passes)!!
