I‘m searching for a John Primble /Belknap Bluegrass Hardware straight razor in good, usable condition. I’m particularly interested in an example with the faux-stag scales. Would love the original box as well, but I’m open to just the razor.
I was born and raised in Louisville and my late aunt and uncle worked as purchasing agents for Belknap from the late 1940s until the early 1990s. I inherited quite a few Bluegress Hardware tools and some lovely John Primble knives, but I don’t imagine they sold many razors by the time my relatives worked there.
