What's new

WOW inherited DEs, and a please help identify...

Wow I told my Mom about my RAD problem, and the new found interest in DE razors. She gave me three tonight, two of which she believes belonged to my great-grandfather, and one perhaps my dad used.

Also a lot of PAL blades, which I'll post in a reply below.

#1 - I think it's a 1959 (E4) Executive.

#2 is the one I need help identifying. I can't seem to find this in the wiki database. Help would be appreciated.

#3 I think may have been my dads since my great grandfather passed in 1966 or 1967, it seems unlikely he would have a 1969 (O4) Knack.

These photos are all "as found", and I think it goes without saying that these will not be found in the "4sale" section.

Oh I forgot to post, #2 has date code Y4

The PAL Blades pics ...
Anyone know anything about these blades?

Score! I don't know if I'd use the blades, but the razors are terrific. Don't toss the blades - the old packs look nice in a display and have collector interest.

#3 would be a Slim Twist, and not a Knack.

The Knack has a different pattern on the handle, along with the handle having a metal piece on the end of the handle:

The Slim Twist does not seem to be in the Gillette database, or date info. Does anyone know its full production date range?

Thanks

Very nice score Gerald

All 3 should be really nice shavers. The Slim Twist feels very similar to a 60's Super Speed...the heads are almost identical. I believe they were produced up to the late 70's.
