WOW - 37C + Feather!

I have tried Wilkinson Blades, no-name blades from Duluth Trading, Gillette Blacks, and today the Feather. I was a tiny bit worried given the reputation of the Feather being unforgiving, and I did get my usual 1-2 tiny weepers, but it was actually an awesome shave. I still have to try the Feather in my '67 Slim and EJ89, but the 37C + Feather cuts facial hear better than any combo so far - it was an easy and smooth shave

I'm working through some Gillette's Astra's and moving to the Feathers next. I have a 34c and expect it to be rock'in awesome! Glad you had a good experience.

And now for a little disappointment. I took the same Feather that got me a great, close shave yesterday on my 37C, and tried today in my new 37G (identical to the 37C but gold plated instead of chrome plated), and the second usage was rather mediocre. It felt like a blade I have used for 2-3 times, not a blade that I have used only once. Both cases I make sure the blade is properly centered in the 37C/G, and I did not change anything on my pre-shave routine: same brush, shaving cream, etc.. - only difference was using the blade again a second time.

Have folks noticed the Feather "degrading" or getting duller rather quickly?

Lately I've also been feeling like I found the perfect combo with a Feather in my 38C.

The same thing happened to me with the 37G. It is very strange but my gold plated 37G does not shave as well as my 37C.Try the blade in your regular slant and see how it is.I used my slant this morning with a feather and had a great shave.Some guys find feathers get dull faster than other blades. I can get four good shaves out of a feather.

i have a feather in my slim adjustable, at 1 it gives me a insane shave with no irritation. imagine that on 9!!

Good to know I am not the only one with a "questionable" 37G.

I have not yet tried the Feather on my '67 Aristocrat (Gold Slim). I usually have mine on #4, but I might want to start a little lower to see how it works out
