I'm planning a trip to the Azores island of sao Miguel with my mom to spend time at her parents house and to meet my distant cousins and family members out there and I was wondering would a travel tech be a good choose not just for travel but my next razor two I have three other gillettes and their amazing shave please some input from out would help thank you every one

If you're looking for a travel DE, take a look at the Merkur travel razors, both the safety bar and the OC. Very nice for travel, and they break down into a really small leather pouch. If you're just looking for another DE razor be sure to look at the slant.
If you like the Travel Tech, go for it. I have one and the handle is pretty small. If you normally choke up on the handle, then this may work OK for you. My main travel razor is a 4 piece Merkur 46C. Of course, I only paid $8 for the Travel Tech and $65 for the Merkur.

I'm more in to vintage will I have seen and even tried merkur I still like a good old Gillette or Shick or even the GEM I used I don't know why I just don't feel like the new ones stand on the same ball field as the old school ones but I will look in to the merkur again
I keep a travel tech as a backup when traveling. My dopp kit contains a slim adjustable as the primary razor. My kit is packed for sea and you would be amazed what you can fit in there if you try.
