Worst Cut

Just had the worst cut of my straight shaving career. I broke out my new barber's pet razor, been waiting until I get my new strop to start using it, and on the third pass I dug that damn thing right into my cheek! I guess my original razor is getting a little dull, and my new, sharp barber's pet took me by surprise lol. I'll definitely remember to be more careful next time.

Believe it or not the worst cut I ever got was on my finger and not my face. Just not paying attention to what I was doing. It was a blood bath and I'm surprised I didn't need stitches

I stupidly dug a feather super blade into my chin the part under the neck goatee area. It bled for a long time cause it was so deep, now after a few months it is a source of ingrowns, occasionally, most are gone. I take it as a reminder of the ATG pass and the extreme care necessary so I'm thankful I learned that lesson early and I won't be making that mistake any time in the future.

Worst one for me was quite recent, the whole blade top n/s across my cheek wasn't scary deep but it was enough.

Kind of deserved it as i had a momentary lapse of concentration plus i was experimenting, learning a straight is nothing like a de it is taking an age just to get an ok shave let alone dfs or bbs but im determined to learn them.

same.. My worst cut was from a DE... it was a bad one. This pic does not do it justice.

Worst cut with a straight so far... Probably under my jaw line. For some reason i "unstretched" my skin for a split second, right into the edge of the blade.

I am consistently hacking up my face with my Feather AC, even though I am using the "guard" blade. I am left handed, and I seem to do the most damage on my left check. Generally i don't have a problem WTG and TAG, but if I move the razor to vertical for an TAG pass, I seem to cut myself. Should I only do WT and TAG? Also, I'd like to graduate to the unguarded blades, but at this point I think I'd really do some damage.

Im using the guarded blade now on the AC to relearn my technique and the revelation has been a touch that has the blade almost not on my skin its just skimming it. You will need an angle similar to a regular straight because for a moment I thought it was built in but it doesnt appear so. When you use it think of a feather brushing across your face and you will remind yourself of the extremly light touch necessary to make it happen. I learned all this from my cut hope it helps.

Yeah, what the heck is up with that! I cut my fingers more than my face:lol::lol:

Me too. I occasionally nick my face a bit but it seems almost every shave my fingers bleed. Guess Ill be happy its not the other way around, just never thought it would be anything other than my face getting cut in the begining.
