World's largest shaving brush

According to the blurb
this means that we need 10,000 badgers to finish this shaving brush

10,000 animals for that?!:glare: For something of no practical use...

Why couldn't they just use cheap-*** not-fit-to-lather-a-bears-arse grade badger and save this 'choice' hair for brushes that will be used and enjoyed.

Oi Vey...!

You'd have to dump 1kg Cella tubs into a 5-gallon bucket for lathering.

And we wonder why there's a short supply of Finest hair...

"Mr. Edward Zhang" - gee, there's a shock
The Chinese are driving tigers (and everything else, it seems) into extinction, and now badgers. Great.

it's a fake, isn't it ?

what is the size of the badger ? compare the size of the hair on the normal brushes to this one, impossible.

Did you read the page text? There are only 30 hairs on each badger that are that length; that's why he said he needed 10,000 badgers to complete the brush.

I'd prefer he'd use 10,000 of his relatives instead.

The record is for the largest shaving brush. Blurb aside, it doesn't say that it is badger hair. What part of the badger do these "30 hairs" come from?

C'mon, jeesh.

This is OBVIOUSLY photo shopped.
There is no way at all that;
1. A badger has ANY hair that long
2. Even if he did have hair that LONG, it would still be the same THICKNESS, so it wouldn't stand up when it was that long.

What, you thought it was just coincidence that the color banding on the "select 30 hairs" just happen to match what you'd get if you blew it up in size?

Want me to make one of these for you?
I think I could have a pic up in less than an hour.

I was skeptical regarding the 30k figure, but it seems 50,000 badgers are killed on UK roads per year and since China is much bigger and actively breeds/hunts badgers for their pelt maybe 30k is more than achievable if they're just cherry-picking a few choice length hairs here and there.

I think you will find a lot of those badgers will have been peppered with lead shot, farmers don't like badgers as they can spread tb so a few have been known to kill them off only to be dumped on the roadside as roadkill so they don't end up busted. ;)

But that brush is just plain silly. :tongue_sm
