Trying a few new shapes. I took a couple of elements from a couple shapes that I have been
been working with. I think that I found one that works for me. What do you guys think?
Maple again :)

Dig it. I’m really liking the bulb shape on the end with a slimmer bit in the middle. Just makes for a multitude of grips.

Watching to see this one finished.

I love the shape and how this and the other recent one you made reverses the tradition of having the bead on the knot cup side of the handle, it really makes these handles stand out. And the shape of the knot cup matches the swirling in the grain so well. I think if the bead was on the cup side it would have been an interruption to the flow of grain instead of an enhancement to its beauty.

Very nice Steve. The top is kind of like a persian jar but the lower part is all Graydog. It’s one of very few original shapes I’ve seen anybody make that is still aesthetically pleasing.

Another beauty, Steve.

I love the finish on your wood handles. That natural look brings out the beauty of the grain. What do you use to preserve the handle?

Very nice! What type of finish do you apply to the wood to prevent water damage? Multiple coats too?

Thanks , I use a CA finish (super glue) and I will put 12 thin coats on wet sanding in between coats. And then I will buff and polish.
