Wonderful world of brushes

I am new to wetshaving, I am about to make my first order hopefully within the next week. I decided on a Merkur 37C razor. Now its time for brushes, I have done much research and have contacted QED regarding brushes and have looked at many other places. They will not have the finest in until "hopefully" next month, but the silver tips seem like a nice value. Their customer service is incredible, emails are answered very fast!

Qed has a gift set for $47, this includes a superbadger from Savile Row, Mack3 and shaving cream. The cheapest Savile Row I saw on their site is $44, so the included Mack3 and shaving cream for only $3 more seems kinda weird. Has anyone here purchased this set? I have not contacted Charles about this, but I am very curious if anyone has any experience with it.

If this is too good to be true, Shavemac has the finest in 23mm for $70, and a 21mm silvertip for $76 . I will probably go with the finest as from what I hear it if a little stiffer and works better for creams, any opinions?

And I can see that Jim is highly recommended (from this post and others). I will call again about Shavemac's finest. And if he does not have the one I want I will get one from Westcoastshaving as long with the economy sample pack. And from Jim I will get some soap or cream and the 37C.
