I just happen to see it on the Bay with minutes remaining and thought the bidding was low so I entered a bid but my computer was slower then molasses(something wrong with my cable). However to my amazement I won it.

The razor is a beauty but the question remains did I do the right thing. How do they shave

I recently got a Fat Boy off the Bay for a good price as well. It's been a mainstay of my razor rotation ever since. Love the Fat Boy!

I use mine in rotation with the DE flavor of the quarter, a flair tip SS and, of course, my slant. I typically have it set to a 7 using Crystal blades, a 5 if I load a Feather.

All the rage seems to be the Red Tips and the Fat Boy seem to have taken a backseat. Most responses seems to be how nice they look and how heavy they are but very few comments about their performance. I am looking forward to using it.

I forgot to mention that, while I can use just two passes with the slant (WTG/ATG), I need three passes with the Fatboy to get a comparable shave (WTG/XTG/ATG). Otherwise, no difference in closeness of shave / lack of irritation. Enjoy!!
